This guide covers two DIY projects demonstrated in the My Froggy Stuff video: a freestanding wooden display stand for a miniature record player and vinyl records, and a method for making handmade printable album covers and vinyl discs. Both projects use inexpensive materials sourced from a dollar store or printed at home.
The stand is built from a thin wood sheet and square dowels, finished with dark brown acrylic paint to resemble a wood-grain table. A paperclip bent into V-shaped prongs forms the record holders. The printable accessories — album covers and vinyl discs — can be made from standard paper, photo paper, and cardstock, and are sized to work alongside commercially available miniature record props.
The stand is designed to hold a miniature record player on the upper shelf and display records on wire prongs below. When loaded with a record player, the total height reaches approximately hip height on a standard fashion doll. The design is freestanding and adapted from a larger wall-mounted phone stand, modified to be self-supporting at dollhouse scale.
Miniature album covers and vinyl records are made from printable templates. Two paper types are tested: standard printer paper and photo paper. The two produce different results, detailed in the steps below.
