Ohm's Law

Ohm’s Law states that current through a conductor is directly proportional to voltage and inversely related to resistance. In resistive circuits, these relationships stay consistent over a wide operating range.

Standard forms: V = I × R, R = V / I, I = V / R.

Electrical Power

Power is the rate of electrical energy transfer, measured in watts. In resistive circuits, Joule’s law combines with Ohm’s law to provide multiple ways to compute power based on known variables.

  • P = V × I
  • P = V² / R
  • P = I² × R
